Palamós, past and present

Palamós is a small town in the Costa Brava. Their past is linked to the sea and distinguished residents such as Truman Capote. Tradition, food and business have a common and charming place in the new Espai del Peix, a public tribute to old-fashioned fishermen -still an important business in town- and Mediterranean lifestyle. But is also a place to enjoy with all the senses. The visitor can see the arrival of the boats in the afternoon, the auction of fish -a parade of sounds, smells and bright reflections- and tasting typical dishes. The proposal is addressed to both adults and children. After a visit at the most dynamic and photogenic harbour of Girona, -you can also visit the interesting Museu de la Pesca- a walk along the shore is required. After all, just enjoy the sunset in a terrace where In Cold Blood’s writer drank Martinis.
